چکیده
Background Periodontitis is the common oral condition which affects periodontium of teeth that leads to destruction periodontal ligaments and alveolar bone. Open flap debridement surgical procedure provides access visibility site, application laser as an adjunct has various advantages.
Objective To compare clinical outcomes after open with or without diode laser.
Method Patients aged 25-45 years diagnosed infrabony defect ≥ 5 mm visiting Department Dental Surgery, Bir Hospital. Control group sites were treated alone, whereas test-groups laser. Various parameters like Plaque index, Gingival Pocket depth Clinical attachment level assessed compared between groups at baseline, 3 6 months.
Result The mean plaque gingival scores improved in both control test months follow up baseline was statistically nonsignificant two groups. treatment intrabony defects did not produce significant reduction pocket gain level.
Conclusion There no differences seen Diode can be used safely adjunct. However, long-term, multicentric, histologic microbial studies are required.

Comparison of Hemiseptal Intrabony Defects Treatment with a Bioabsorbable Membrane and Flap Debridement Alone
Introduction: Most periodontal treatments aim to reduce probing depths and maintaining or improving attachment. One of these techniques for treatment of intrabony defects is guided tissue regeneration (GTR). The aim of this study was to compare one-wall intrabony defects treatment with GTR and flap debridement alone. Methods: Eight patients aged 32-43 years participated in this randomized contr...

BACKGROUND Limited orthodontics are shown to be effective in the correction of infrabony defects. Studies have also demonstrated the efficacy of using enamel matrix derivative (EMD) with demineralized freeze-dried bone allograft (DFDBA) to treat infrabony defects. This study aims to compare the clinical efficacy of limited orthodontics combined with EMD/DFDBA in the treatment of 2- or 3-wall in...
متن کاملMinimally Invasive Treatment of Infrabony Periodontal Defects Using Dual-Wavelength Laser Therapy
Introduction. Surgical management of infrabony defects is an invasive procedure, frequently requiring the use of adjunctive material such as grafts or biologics, which is time-consuming and associated with expense and morbidity to the patient. Lasers in periodontal regeneration have been reported in the literature, with each wavelength having potential benefits through different laser-tissue in...

AIM The aim of this controlled, parallel design clinical study was to compare the healing of intrabony periodontal defects following treatment with access flap surgery with and without debridement with an Er:YAG laser. METHODS Twenty-three patients each of whom exhibited one deep intrabony defect were randomly treated with either access flap surgery followed by root surface and defect debride...
